This is Tomukudza. He is a lawyer from Zimbabwe…… Tomukudza is also a poet. For some reason everytime I read this poem, I’m reminded of Shakespeare’s Sonnets. He talks about what love is in this poem.
Coffee on a Good Day
If you were having coffee with me, I would tell you about my good day. I would tell you how I woke up in the morning with a smile on my face and how the fact that it rained and electricity went off while I was charging my phone didn’t bring down my mood.
One Night….
So, this beautiful lady started this poem…. She wrote the first five lines and I have attempted to complete and nail her vision.

Dear Alex, Its been a while since we last spoke. Three years to be exact. I still remember the last conversation as clearly as if it were just yesterday. You called me to find out if my birthday was in August. It isn’t. However, I wish everyday that I had said that it was. And not just for the red velvet cake you would have bought me but also for the chance to see you one more time.
