Growing Pains

An Alien To The Status Quo

Psalms  1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4. The Benefit of Meditation:

Another word for blessed is happy. But this is no ordinary happiness, this is a special happiness that is divine. This is bliss. A blessed person is one who is walking under supernatural aid. Have you ever seen a person who looks very cheerful, has good health, enjoys many good things, comfortable, calm, stress free, content, and seems to be lucky and successful all the time? That person is the definition of blessed.
(You call it luck, I call it favour.)
When you’re blessed you have something about you, for some reason people around you don’t seem to have problems with you, someone is usually available to help you where needed, you seem to have the right answers, you seem to be lucky daily, it’s like angels are always around clearing your way, it’s like there’s an anointing stuck on your life. It’s like the universe has conspired to help you at every turn. This is the benefit of meditation.

In part 2 of the series , we talked of how meditation increases on your understanding. You can grow wiser and more intelligent when you want to, owing to what you meditate on. That’s the benefit of meditation.

The Psalmist uses an analogy of a tree here in vs. 3.
You will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. You may have no effort in this but you will be finding that you are in the right places. You may not think about it or plan it but somehow you will always be in the right place at the right time. When I say somehow or some reason, I mean God does everything that you cannot explain. A tree doesn’t plant itself, someone plants it. This luck thing, coincidences, law of attraction, universal forces, however you choose to explain it – that’s all the hand of God working for you without your knowledge or request. If you are the tree, God is the gardener; God plants you.
And you will be found in places of abundance. Rich in resource. You will be in touch with family members, friends, business partnerships, moneys, fellowships, restaurants, hangouts, libraries, potential mates…name it. You’ll find that you seem to have many things within your reach, and not in shortage; nor is it limited to the city… You will be planted at rivers – plural, not just one.
And you will not just have access and connections, you will be using them and profiting. You will be advancing in your intellect, in your career, in your relationships, in your service, in whatever you do…you will be fruitful.
And when the economy goes down, you won’t. For some reason you will still be doing well in your business.
In fact, you will be advancing even further, booming and blossoming even more, making larger strides during hard times, having more opportunities, cutting new deals.
For instance, do you see the richest men in the world go down with the economy? Instead year in year out they’re making more and more billions!

The benefit of meditation is blessing. You are blessed in your plans. You are blessed in the execution of those plans. You are blessed in the benefits of your success. You are blessed to enjoy those benefits. And you are blessed to share those benefits.
Because you are meditating on the Word, you are planted by the Living Water, you are a branch grafted into the Vine, you send your roots into the Source, you don’t see drought or want because the Source never runs low or dry. You will always be in supply and you will ever be a blessing to others because you don’t run dry either. You are always in season. You are ever successful. Jesus is always coursing through your veins, ever in you, always for you, ever working things for your benefit.

Are you rooted in Jesus? Would you like to be planted in the best places ever? Do you desire to be successful in life?
Make the decision today to commit your life to Him, and He will plant you in the best places your life will ever be!
