Growing Pains

An Alien To The Status Quo

Day 5: My Proudest Moment

I was watching the cursor blink while I thought and thought hard about my proudest moment, I almost broke my brain people.
I finally came to the realization that I don’t have just one…so for day five here are a few of my most proud moments.

– The day I graduated, January 2015 meeehn, it had been a long five years…very long five years. Dressing up in the cap and gown… Awesome just.

– The day I finished my first book called Charity’s Story.  This was a story about the journey of a little orphan girl from the village to the city in the time of strife (Idi Amin’s time). I was 15 at the time and I was using those 96-page picfare books to write. It was an awesome story, if I do say so myself.

– I should probably be humble about this one but I am not. Uganda’s Jazz Maestro, Isaiah Katumwa saying he was a fan of my voice and that I had inspired him to sing……that is a day I’ll remember till I die. Also one of my most proud moments.

– Winning the very first Felonious Gru award, also known as the Dennis Assimwe Award, in last year’s Short Story Writing Competition. I’m proud of the story that became Dennis Assimwe’s favorite, find my award winning story Right Here.  I admire the guy and him saying that that was his favorite story… was just… there are no words.

  1. This is fantastic! I was waiting to see if you’d finish a week before I started applauding but 5 days in and I’m just so happy that you’ve kept at it. Life is made up of numerous moments which make us proud, for instance, I’m proud of you for this. 🙂
