Growing Pains

An Alien To The Status Quo

If you were having coffee with me, I would tell you about my good day.
I would tell you how I woke up in the morning with a smile on my face and how the fact that it rained and electricity went off while I was charging my phone didn’t bring down my mood.

I would tell you about my exercise regimen that takes up 20 minutes of my morning.
Run up and down the stairs, 10 minutes, skip rope and sit ups, another 10 minutes.
I would tell you about my aches and pains, I’d probably ask you to give me a massage. But even with these aches, I am excited that my BMI ( Body Mass Index) crossed from obese to overweight. I am currently at 28.1, down from a whooping 31.0 ….choose to celebrate the small things. And now I am shooting for 25 which is in the normal range of BMI.
I would tell you about Beaton who made my day even brighter by making me his Woman Crush Wednesday….it feels awesome to be a WCW. Especially to someone you’re crushing on :)🙈

I wouldn’t have to explain this feeling too many words because you would see the grin on my face

I would also tell you about these two writers that I really love and respect who also made me their crushes…….Sharon and Fiona

I would then tell you, how much this means to me and how special it made me feel, you’d probably see the tears glistening in my eyes.
As I serve you my soon-to-be world famous mandazi to enjoy the coffee with, I would tell you about my love for social media and how social media has afforded me the opportunity to meet some of the best people in the world and I know I’ll be friends with these people for a very long time… I love y’all😍:)
After our long coffee chat, I would invite you to stay for Cell/Fellowship.
Today we talked about what it means to be a good Christian. And I felt convicted to share more of what has been happening in my life in hopes that it would help some one else in a similar situation.
Its not been easy but with God I keep on pushing on. Life is a daily struggle and it’s growing pains but its made even more beautiful by having coffee and amazing people like Beaton to share it with. 🙂
It has been such a good day and I’m praying for an even better one today.

Love
Mables.
