I don’t come from much

If you view me through the lens of your standards.

I don’t measure up.

My bed is a worn out one inch mattress on a mat in the corner of a round hut

My shoes are only worn on special days

My clothes maybe your rags

I have never seen nor experienced what you may have.

These fields that I run in are mine to do as I please.

This ball made from polythene and ropes holds my dreams

I am young.

I am hopeful.

I am football

I am Uganda

Uganda Cranes here I come.
