Growing Pains

An Alien To The Status Quo

Just ten! Are you kidding! I think I’m going to break the rules on this one and list more than ten and of course the reason why I like each one of them. Please feel free to click on the links and experience the awesomeness of these blogs and the amazing people behind them.

In no particular order of preference, my favorite blogs are;

Vhu’s Ravings of a Single Woman
Vhu writes stories about the modern African women and the struggles they go through in love, life and relationships. Not to brag (but you know I’m totally going to brag) my name has been featured in her stories twice. *Maaaaama I made it!*

Sinawo Bukani’s Blog
She’s who I want to be when I grow up.
She’s smart, funny and absolutely an amazing writer. Our generation definitely needs a voice like hers.

Gloria, who really is an editor’s dream. She writes on a myriad of subjects and I enjoy reading her blog. Seriously, the girl is a ninja in these things. Trust me!

Aruho thinks, and he thinks hard…..He is one of my best friends and also one of (if not) the smartest and brightest people I have the pleasure of knowing. He’s just started his blog, but when you read all that he’s posted, you’ll agree with me. He’s the second person who I featured as a guest blogger, check out this post…….

Beaton’s Becoming the Muse
I have been very vocal about the writer’s crush I have on The Beat! And after reading his blog, you’ll also see why I have this crush. He writes about a lot of things too, from fiction to his “Of Coffee with” series. He’s a free spirit, I think.

The ever awesome Patricia Kahill who was one of the people who inspired me to start blogging. She just doesn’t know this……yet.

Justified Ecstasy.
I have a special love reserved for poets like her. But she’s more than just a poet. I love reading her blog. See for yourself.

Laker Fiona’s Tales of a Curious Mind
Oh this beautiful soul from whose blog I spied this challenge. She’s a wonderful poet. Just check it out for yourself and see.

Sharon’s Kadali Blog
She writes the most beautiful poems and short stories. She’s currently doing a love letter series and she makes me want to fall in love. Honestly, the only way I can describe her work is simply amazing…..

Death of Words… I’ve known Bwojji for quite a while now. And his poetry is transcendent. It just keeps getting better and better.

Subtle Royalty
You haven’t lived until you have read this blog.
*dramatically holds out hands and screams* cooooooooome baaaaaaack! I miss you in you my feed.

Lindah Anne’s Diary of a Headless Chicken…. She once wrote a piece on hugs, that’s how I found out about her blog and man, is she incredible!

Vicky’s Limitless Marvel…
But Victoria! Please write more often! Her faith in Christ inspires me. I’ll describe her as a girl after God’s own heart.

Florentina Aranel’s Something Wonderful
What can I say about her and her blog except that she’s so cool! Bask in ths coolness, check out her blog. She also writes about a variety of things….from stories to anecdotes. Kwegamba…..eh, just read.

Lucy Chihandae’s Stories From My Hair
A fascinating poet…. I love her hairful of words!

Boydeeeeeeeeeeee
Because he’s Boydeeeeee! And also because he can put down some pretty sick lines.

Joshua Slybard Okello oh Josh! Where art thou Josh! We, thy humble fans, miss thy insightful poetry!

Last but most certainly not least. This is a blog I discovered recently, thanks to Sinawo and I am totally, absolutely and irrevocably in love with it. Thando’s captured in moments, lost in time.

I know I have left out a lot more blogs that I enjoy reading..I follow so many blogs and I love to read each and every one of them.

Ps…I have just realized I’m past the half way point of this challenge. You can’t see this but I’m dancing!

  6. Hi Mable,
Thanks for coming by my blog today. I’m glad you liked my new post about how to engage our readers.
In response to what you wrote: That was nice of you to give those 10 bloggers exposure. My linking to their site, you are increasing their ability to be found on search engines as well. That’s a great blogging friend.
