For those following, you’ll notice that I skipped day 13. I’d like to say its because its unlucky number 13, but nah, it’s because January blues hit my fridge really hard and its now just recovering.
Now! Cue card says I’m supposed to list 3 healthy habits. I don’t know if it’s 3 healthy habits that I do, or 3 healthy habits that I recommend.
But I’ll go with the 3 I do do. (Do not laugh at the ridiculousness of do do!)
1. Drink water. Put aside for a moment the obviously very healthy benefits of drinking water ….focus on the amazing feeling you get when water is sliding down your throat one gulp or sip at a time! *Gulp!*
*Give the owner of this here blog a second, she’s gone to gulp down some refreshing water*
Where were we, yes! Drink water! Its healthy for you and also extra refreshing, trust me.
2. I don’t like exercise, I really applaud those who do. However I know that I can’t be a couch potato, that is very unhealthy. So I walk. I love to walk. One of my hobbies is actually hiking. So healthy habit number two, is find an exercise that works for you. For me its walking for another person it can be something else…..check out this blog for more advice on lifestyle, health and fitness. I am so not equipped to dish out advice on this.
The brain is a muscle that needs exercise too, so read! Read a lot. Read at least a book a month! It will be worth your while.
3. Have fun! Not to sound so cliché but life is short. Do not waste it worrying about work and a host of other things life likes to throw your way. Dance even when there’s no music at all. See the wonder in the world like its the first time. Laugh at your own jokes. Spare not a thought on the negativities surrounding you (I’m guilty of this, but I’m learning to let the negativity slide.) Smile when you have no reason to, it does wonders for your face, trust me! Go out with friends!
I reiterate, HAVE FUN!
That’s all folks… See y’all tomorrow when I tell ya where I’ll be when I’m 32!
Love the habits. They’re great, practical and fairly simple to maintain. Thanks for sharing.
*notes the healthy tips*
but isn’t life short??
I love no.3
Great stuff Mable, love this! 🙂
Great habits to work on here. Drinking water is especially important, not only for hydration but clarity of mind. I love how you encourage people to find their own style of exercise, it’s important to make it fun so the habit sticks.
I also agree that keeping our minds active is important. I recently downloaded a brain training app and a word game and this is helping me with that aspect. I also love seeing how my scores vary each day so it’s making it a really easy habit to stick!
Loving the content, keep doing what you’re doing 🙂
PS – On a related note, I’m on the hunt for feedback for my new show The HERO Podcast! It’s all about the process behind forming healthy habits. The latest episode with Derek Doepker discusses the habit forming process and how to make lasting changes. You can check it out (and maybe leave a short review if you like) here: http://apple.co/2kjNoGN
Shower dances work best in my case. A horrible dancer 💞💞💞
Whaaaaat Noooooo! You have rhythm! In life and in dance!
Love the humor in every habit. Don’t gulp a soda in the place of water though 😂😂
Hehehe, I’ve been known to cheat and do just that.
